- Anasazi
Indian Village State Park -
“Anasazi” is the a prehistoric people that occupied the
New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and Nevada between about A.D.
1 and 1300.
The Anasazi were known for their unique architecture. With large
stone masonry pueblos, some were built on cliff faces, how they
got thier name, "Cliff Dwellers." some of thier constructions
consisting of several hundred rooms, located by water and natural
resources to help supporting their families.
